Hi, I’m Samantha — a birth doula and prenatal yoga teacher who believes that birth isn’t something to be managed, but something to be supported. I’m here to walk beside you with grounded care, mindful movement, and trust in your body’s innate ability to give birth.

I’ve been fascinated by birth and motherhood for as long as I can remember. What started as a deep curiosity eventually turned into a career path. I initially pursued a nursing degree with the goal of working in labor and delivery, but over time, I realized that the kind of support I wanted to give families didn’t quite fit within the fast-paced, often clinical model of hospital care. I wanted to walk alongside people — to help them feel seen, heard, and empowered in one of the biggest moments of their lives. That realization led me to birth work.

I am currently in the process of finishing my certification requirements through Beheld, a thoughtfully designed program grounded in evidence-based care, hands-on practice, and real-world doula preparation. I trained directly under Haley McNabb and Jessica Fawcett, whose wisdom and mentorship continue to guide my work.

Before becoming a doula, I worked as a nanny for over five years, supporting families with babies from two months old through early childhood. It was through this work that I began having open, honest conversations with parents about their births — how they felt, what surprised them, and what they wished they’d had more of. That insight shaped my entire approach: parents need consistent, compassionate support, and they deserve access to information that helps them make confident, informed decisions.

My philosophy is rooted in the belief that birth is not an emergency by default — it’s a physiological process that your body was designed to do. I also deeply respect the role of medical care and know that interventions can be necessary and life-saving when needed. I believe every birthing person deserves access to clear, evidence-based information and compassionate, nonjudgmental support to make the choices that are best for them. Whether your birth involves interventions or unfolds without them, my role is to walk beside you — informed, present, and fully supportive of your unique path.

As your doula, I’ll meet you wherever you are, whether you’re planning a home birth, a hospital birth, or something in between those settings. My approach is evidence-based, nonjudgmental, and centered on your goals. I’m here to offer reliable information, steady emotional support, and hands-on comfort techniques when you need them most.

For those with partners who will be present at the birth, I offer support to help them feel more confident, included, and connected throughout the process. My intention is never to take over their role but to ease any pressure they may feel and offer guidance on how to best support you during labor and birth. And if you’re planning to birth without a partner, know that I will be there to support you fully with calm presence, hands-on care, and encouragement every step of the way.

If you’re looking for a doula who honors both science and intuition, who trusts in your ability to give birth, and who will support your choices wholeheartedly — I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
